Since 1982, Waffle Pod People have been pioneers in Waffle Pod Technology, contributing to the development of the original concept. Their methods are incorporated in Australian Standards AS 2870-2011.

Skippen's Landscape & Building Supplies was founded about 88 years ago, by Roy Skippen. In those early days delivery was originally made by horse and cart, later by earlier versions of motorised lorries. Sands were shovelled on and off the trucks, using a very large hand shovel, capable of about 20kg of material per shovel.
