Alwyn Rehabilitation Hospital

Just a few lines in support of your facility, from the time I arrived there, throughout my 2 week stay and also during the last 4 weeks of extra rehab I found your Office Staff, Nursing Staff, Cleaning Staff, Kitchen Staff and Rehabilitation Staff all very thoughtful and kind whilst going about their work in a very efficient manner, I found the meals provided were excellent with great variations and the service from the Kitchen Staff to be equally as good, the Rehabilitation Staff were spectacular in their efficiency in always achieving the best out come for the Patients without going to far, lets face it some old people can be difficult to handle how ever I never experienced any of that in the time I was there. All in all I think you should be very proud of your total Staff and your Business operating as it does like a well oiled machine, I will have no problem in recommending your Rehabilitation Hospital to any of my friends that require that type of Service. Thanks again to yourself and all of your Staff. Kindest Regards John

The differences between a public and a private hospital

Are you considering going to a hospital but not sure whether it is worth going to a private or a public one? We’ve put together some pros and cons for both to allow you to decide.

  • Public hospitals tend to be much bigger and can accommodate a lot of people. They cannot turn anyone away and, due to being publicly funded, are much more affordable. However, due to their large size, the ratio of doctors to patients is staggering and hence the waiting time to speak to a doctor or get a treatment is often quite long.
  • Private hospitals are capable of providing personalised care to their patients with the ability for a patient to even have a private room or being able to choose their doctor. Wait times are much shorter and the ratio of doctors and nurses allow for more contact with the staff.

Whether you live in the suburbs, the outback or the CBD, there will always be a hospital around your area. If you’re looking for premium service and specialised care, have a browse through our local listings for local private hospitals in your area.
