Over the last few years I have been to Jon, to have various jigsaws and Cross stitching framed. He is so obliging and not pushy at all. The cross stitches in particular are very time consuming to stitch, but when Jon frames them he really knows how to do my work justice. He knows how to colour match to the work, and is very reasonable in what he charges for his work. I hope he never closes, as I have another four for him to do, that will need matching frames. Jon, you are an absolute consummate perfectionist. Many thanks Olly.

Three quick picture framing tips

Picture framing is not as easy as just taking a picture and putting it in a frame. We’ve put together a few suggestions for you to consider when framing pictures, so that they look their best.

Protect your picture using a mat board. A picture frame glass can experience condensation in humid environments, which can cause your photo to stick to the glass. The mat board within the frame creates a gap between your picture and the glass to reduce the chance of water vapour damage.
Use the correct type of tape to align your picture in the perfect position within a photo frame. Framing tape is a good option as it can also be used to seal the back of your frame to prevent damage from dust or insects.
Keep your pictures from fading. Select a frame glass with UV protection to ensure your photograph does not lose brightness due to sunlight exposure.
