We stayed here one night on the way back to Melbourne and really enjoyed the quiet location. We had two adjoining rooms that cost about $180. The rooms are exposed brick which is not very decorative but is practical for sound insulation and the rooms were spacious and clean. My daughter rated the shower as one of the best she has ever experienced. The bathroom was quite large. The staff were warm and friendly. We would have liked to eat at the Golf Bistro but it was booked out so we went to the excellent Club Taree for dinner. The golf course looks a bit better than the one at the Taree RSL. Be careful driving around Wingham as some of the roads are in a shocking state (e.g. melted asphalt sticking up 15cm - a nightmare for a motorbike) and the narrow roads and bends in town are a bit kooky. We had a great breakfast at the bakery in town - e.g $2 for three delicious fresh pumpkin scones.
