Local Hi-fi Equipment in Kangaroo Valley NSW

I've had a fabulous Sony HiFi System for around 25 years and it has performed brilliantly up until a few weeks ago. The unit would be operating but the sound to the speakers would just stop for no apparent reason. I contacted Sony and they told me that the accredited Sony repaired was HiFi & Electronics Cenre in Swan Street Wollongong. I rang them up and told them the problem. I spoke with George who told me right up front that it was now really not possible to source parts for these old systems. I described the symptoms of the problem and he said that he thought that they could repair it. I took the unit in and the very next morning after inspecting the unit George rang me and said that they could fix the unit and gave me a quote for the repairs. I told him to proceed because I love my HiFi system. It has some great memories attached to it. By that afternoon they had repaired my HiFi system and I went to pick it up. George and Ian had worked on the unit and they told me that because the unit was so old that there were a wjhole lot of "Dry solder joints" in the circuitry. They spent a lot of time repairing all the old and aged joints. The cost was exactly as George had quoted me. I brought the unit home and to cut a long story short I had some problems in re-setting up the system. Over the phone George was able to walk me through the set-up process. Just sitting here now as I am writing this review listening to my HiFi system and it sounds fantastic. I'm sure that the quality has improved. I cannot thank George and Ian enough for fixing my "baby". As "Molly" said......"Do yourself a favour and go see these guys if you have problems with your HiFi systems.
