Unsure what happens during the window glass replacement process?

Do your eyes get glassy when trying to understand what exactly window glaziers do? Soak up the following notes to get better optics into the work of a glass glazier:

Double-thick glass will typically be required at minimum and ordered in by the glazier. In any high-traffic areas a shatter resistant glass will also be required.
Once ordered, the glass will need to be measured and cut to size.
The glazier must then fit the glass into place and secure it.
Door Frames and other related hardware can also be installed by glaziers.
Caulking and wood moldings are also usually replaced when performing a window glass repair but you may reuse an existing moulding.
Glaziers also weatherproof glass joints and can re-glaze existing windows.
Lastly Glaziers are also IKEA specialists, assembling prefabricated shower screens and other glass products.
