Local Funeral Celebrants in Kilmore VIC

I have been a social worker for many years and always thought in the event of a patients death it wouldnt be a good idea to go to any of their funerals as it would be emotionally draining for me. I recently had a change of mind and went to a funeral service of one of my patients that I became very good friends with. The service was conducted by Bell Funerals at Fawkner Memorial Park it was a large service with plenty of spirit. There were five speakers ranging from family to friends that wanted to get up and have their say about him. It was a real celebration of his life. Its funny sometimes how we seem to find out more about a person after they have gone and I think if we should spent more time listening to people when they are alive, the world would be a better place. After the service everybody was asked to go outside to witness the release of doves and it was amazing. Everybody joined hands and there seemed to be a sense of humanity go through the air that made the hairs on my arms stand up. After that, because he was from Scottish origin it was prearranged that a bagpiper start playing Danny Boy which was so appropriate for him. It has been I month now since his passing and I recently received from the family a copy of a video of the service that the funeral director had arranged. In reflection it was the only funeral I have ever been to that seemed to include all the mourners as part of the family. I would like to offer my sincere condolences to his family and thank them for including me. Congrats to Bell Funeral Services I think you did an amazing job
