RFM Tiles

I'm redoing my kitchen and was advised to try RFM for my tiles. So glad I did, I dealt with Rocco who very patiently showed me styles I was looking for. Of course I couldn't make up my mind and kept finding different tiles I thought might suit. Rocco very kindly offered to allow me to take home a number of different tiles and try them out in different lights and against my cupboards. Rocco said to take my time which I did for a few days, and was able to come to a decision that I'm pleased with. Went back and made my purchase at a very good price. From start to finish the service was friendly and professional, I would recommend this business without any hesitation at all.

How to use modern floor tiles as wall tiles.

The PEI (Porcelain Enamel Institute) rating is used to measure the durability and wear resistance of floor and wall tiles. Tiles with PEI rating of 0 are classified as wall-only tiles and tiles with PEI rating of 1 to 5 are considered as floor tiles. But this is no reason to stop you from using floor tiles (PEI 1 to 5) on your walls. Here are some tips on how you can use your modern floor tiles to achieve a trendy wall.

  • The large format floor tile that looks great as an exterior floor tile in garden rooms can also be a trendy addition for small bathrooms by using it as bathroom floor tile. With few visible grout joints, using these as a bathroom wall tile can give an illusion of wider space.
  • Go for a modern minimalistic approach by using the same floor tiles for your walls. Modern bathrooms use this technique to get a calmer and comfier atmosphere.
  • Consider digitally manufactured floor tiles as coverings to posh up your floor and walls. Playing with geometric shapes and textures brings the sass back to your room.
  • Highly polished floor tiles (marbled or solid), are also a good design option for your walls. Their reflective properties help to lighten and luxe up your room.
