TK's Driving School

Love these guys! Passed my driving test in Toowoomba after not driving in 3 years and after having one lesson in Brisbane yesterday with another company and then one lesson this morning before my test with Alan from TK's and using TK's car for my test! Awesome people!

Handy tips

Automatic driving lessons or Manual driving lessons - which to take?

There is a common view that when you know how to drive a manual transmission car, it will be easier to drive an automatic (but not the other way around).  However this should not be your only basis on which car driving lesson to take. Ultimately, it depends on your lifestyle and level of comfort in the road.

Automatic driving lessons are most practical for when planning to drive in the city traffic. Automatic is also preferable if you’re easily startled and need to focus more on the safety aspects of driving. If long tiring drives in the countryside aren’t your thing then it’s the way to go too. You can always opt to take manual driving lessons if you really need to later. At the very least, you got the basic road safety and awareness skills already in the bag.

Take manual driving lessons if you intend to be skillful, like to drive long hours and usually go for uphill trips. Manual transmission cars can give you full control of car performance and handling. If ever you’re required to drive a manual car when you’re in Victoria or NSW, the restrictions on automatic driving license won’t hold you back. If you have the time to spare, manual driving is worth considering.
