Brooks Hire commenced in 1979 when Doug Brooks purchased two u/s compressors on bankcard. In 1982 Doug purchased the first piece of mobile plant an 8 tonne JEC crane, by tender, which Doug drove to Eneabba. At the time of buying the crane, Doug was operating the business from a shed at Eneabba working 18 hour days and living 5 days a week in a humpy at the back of a shed.

Beach Drilling was recently established off the back of the owner/operator's extensive 20-year career in the drilling industry. Since beginning operations in 2022 Beach Drilling has completed several large-scale drilling projects for the SA Government along with numerous stock and domestic bores for farmers and individuals alike.

In 1977, the late Ron Graetz and his son, Brian, started a small irrigation business as a sideline to their vineyard and market garden in Nuriootpa. Ron Graetz, a well-known water diviner in the region, saw a gap in the market and began stocking PVC pipes. As demand quickly rose, the range expanded to include drippers, filters, pumps, valves and other irrigation supplies.
