Local Dog Training in Cuballing WA

My dog has boarded with Early Bird Kennels for over ten years, a few times a year. To be fair, the kennel is a no-frills experience but it's run by a dog-breeding couple who do know their stuff. Most of the boarding kennels in the Southern River Dog Zone are similarly run (breeders running a kennel in residence). My dog has never returned from a stay with issues. She's bathed before pick up if I don't arrive too early. I recall a couple of years ago that they had a few dogs with ticks stay with them which caused some issues and since then, they have made it a policy to apply a tick (and flea?) treatment to dogs BEFORE boarding. I think later they made this an option as a lot of customers baulked at being forced to pay extra for this treatment. So can you catch ticks/fleas from kennels? It sadly only takes one infested dog to spoil the party. Much like I can't expect my son's private school to prevent students from catching head lice. Will one tick/flea treatment kill every pest? I'm no expert at pest control :| My dog will be boarding there again shortly and I guess I'll see if the owners have let things slide since I was last there but based on the many previous positive experiences I have had, I'm not likely to cancel my booking based on the review given.
