Gardens By Graham & Co

I would highly recommend Graham and his team; he is probably the best landscaper in SA. We gave him our backyard as a blank canvas and he created a masterpiece. This involved earthmoving, drainage, retaining walls in 3 different styles (concrete sleepers, moss rocks and Heathstone), a lawn area bordered with plants and terracing, and on the left he designed a woodland garden with trees, shrubs, moss rocks and a meandering path with 2 lots of steps to stroll through. The entire area just connects. After Graham completed his design transformation our garden looks that good it would not appear out of place in one of the TV Garden Shows. Graham has an amazing eye when it comes to Garden Design, right down to the smallest detail; like a plant in just the right place to catch your eye. If you are looking for a landscaper to revamp your garden or start from scratch as we did, look no further than Graham. You may have a bit of a wait depending on how busy he is. But its the old story, when someone is in high demand, sometimes to get perfection. Its better to wait and have your garden done properly.

Handy tips

Concrete floor repairs done right

Got cracks in the driveway concrete? Got chipped edges or corners on your steps? Would it be better to fix it yourself or get it repaired by a professional? See what we’ve found out to help you decide on whether to DIY or get help from a concrete contractor. Fixing broken concrete is a classic DIY project. Damaged concrete is repaired either by replacing the entire slab or sculpting cement into the damaged area. Make sure to always wear eye protection and waterproof gloves. There are a couple of things to consider when deciding to do it yourself:

  • Do you have the equipment? Concrete repairing requires more than just a handful of tools. You would need a hammer, chisel, trowel, masonry brush and drill to handle chips. A full repair of a slab of concrete would also require a sledgehammer, mould, crowbar, shovel and saw.
  • Do you have the space to throw away the broken pieces? You may need to hire an extra skip bin to dispose of your debris.

Sometimes repairing your broken concrete floors is not worth your time or effort. A concrete repair contractor can save you the hassle and ensure a quality fix to your problem. Why not use our directory to find a concrete floor repair contractor near you?
