Verlindens Electrical Service (WA)

rang just before closing. Greg {the boss} came at 5.40pm to rectify why no power. After checking meter box and sub-board, found problem with solar system. System had tripped and no power. After several attempts to re-start system and not successful, we contacted the installer, who spoke with Greg. Greg informed there was a breaker switch. Greg reset switch and power was back on. We are grateful for the service Verlindens provided to restore power, esecially after office hours. The temp for that day was 40 degrees in Clackline. Once again our thanks and gratitude to Verlindens and Greg.

What’s the best computer upgrade path?

Computers aren’t meant to last forever. Even if you build a supercomputer, eventually you’re going to have to think about upgrades. So what’s the optimal upgrade path? The first consideration is what you’re using the computer for:

  • If you’re gaming, then the graphics card, processor and RAM would be your first upgrades.
  • If you need a workstation for the office, then look to first upgrade RAM, storage and finally the processor.
  • For design, video and image editing workstations: upgrade to a good video card, then a processor, followed by power supply and then RAM.
  • Check with your laptop or computer repair shop to see if there are maintenance repairs that can be done to boost your performance. If wiping dust is all it takes, that saves you from having another hole in your wallet.
  • A solid state drive or SSD drive is always a great upgrade from a disk drive, and can speed up your initial boot time significantly.
