This was the first time we had boarded our cat Poppy at Gippsland Paws and More in Poowong. The carers are really kind and lovely and the cattery itself has wonderful facilities, including a large play area and proper sized cages with heat lamps. We would like to thank them for taking such good care of our girl. We were able to enjoy our holiday knowing she was in safe hands. We have booked her in again for next November.

Going out of town can be a difficult time for your cat. Make sure you and your cat are both ready for cat boarding before you send your cat to the cattery.

Be sure your cat is up to date on vaccinations and treatments before taking him or her to the kennel. Catteries often ask for vaccination proof and might not take in your cat if he has fleas or other problems.
Double check that you have your pet’s medication and any special food if required. Also, give your cattery kennel your vet’s number and contact information.
Consider whether your cat is well socialised both with people and other cats.
