Whether you are building your kitchen from scratch or remodelling your old kitchen, a custom cabinet maker is probably one of the first people you will contact. Here are a few questions to ask him/her before you get new cabinets designed.

Do you make the doors and drawers yourself? If a cabinet maker makes his/her own cabinet frames, but uses mass-produced doors or drawers, the end product may not be of the best quality.
Do you design custom interiors for the cabinets? Components like slide-out trays and specialty drawers should be discussed beforehand with your cabinet maker, so that you don’t fall short of storage space.
Can I see some of the work you have done in the past (the longer the better)? If you get a chance to see a cabinet maker’s work from the past, you will feel confident that the cabinets made by him/her will be long-lasting and endure time.
