Randal installed my NDIS-funded grab rails, ramp and extended a stair for us. He provided a quick, reasonable quote. Then went above and beyond the requirements when doing this job, caring about how it looked as well as functionality. He gave us the option for wood or stainless steel grabrails, advising stainless steel ones would be less maintenance. As the measurements were unclear on the specification photos, he ordered adjustable length rails. Gave me an estimate of when the rails would arrive and when he could install. Then made sure his installation time suited me (Please NOTE it's best to text or email him rather than phone him as he could be on top of a roof or using power tools). He took time to install grab rails to our front steps after checking with me on how we wanted them and the specifications. They look better than anticipated. He knew how to attach them to tricky bricks on one side and slate tiles the other. He made them match lengths and look good somehow! Out back he showed thoughtful attention to detail once more, making the custom-made wooden ramp non-slip, by adding grit to the paint. The quote called for extending the outside concrete stair using wood, so the stair would reach the wall and I can access the grab rail. He discussed the options thoroughly with us, came up with the idea of using concrete, then did a better job than quoted for no extra cost. He had to do a trip to Bunnings and buy concrete. He drilled holes then placed metal rods into the existing stair, then concreted it across to the wall. He did it so professionally, you can't tell the stair ever used to finish before the wall. The concrete has dried whiter since the photo. It looks much better, will be lower maintenance and is more solid than wood would have been. He shows attention to detail, great communication, is friendly to talk to and puts great care into what he does. He carries many years of experience and a wide range of expertise across all trades from building complete houses before. Thoroughly recommended!
