The Southern Canberra Gymnastics Club (SCGC) was formed on 14 December 1982 by a group of parents who then had children attending a private gymnastics club. The club was formed with some 60 gymnasts and five coaches and was incorporated on 18 April 1983 with classes at Erindale and Stirling colleges and at Wanniassa High School.

Interested in signing up for a ballet class, but not sure how to pick one? While there are many ballet schools offering lessons, we’ve compiled a few suggestions to help you select the best ballet class near you:

Set aside time for class so that it fits along with other activities in your schedule. For example, it may be convenient for you to take ballet lessons on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings. Look for classes in your area that fit those times.
Consider the number of students in the class. Generally, the lesser the number of students, the more attention and space you will receive.
Discuss the style of training with the ballet trainers. Since ballet becomes more challenging and demanding as students improve, knowing the trainer’s teaching techniques would be useful.
