I have been wearing hearing aids now for 15 years. A change of job and subsequent relocation to Canberra meant I needed a new hearing audiologist to assist in selection of a new pair of hearing aids. Helen was recommended to me. I contacted Helen and even though she was in the process of moving premises and with my tight work schedules she was extremely accommodating in facilitating a number of sessions to find the right aids for me.I have strong views and very high expectations when it comes to selection of hearing aids. Helen was very helpful in arranging in a number of trials of different models and we finally found a pair to suit my needs. I found Helen to be a true professional who listened and helped me to find the right hearing aid, which has been a big help to me at work and in my home life. Do I need hearing aids? Signs you may need to book a hearing test

No one wants to admit that they didn’t hear part of the conversation. Take a look through some of our signs you may be in need of a visit to an audiologist near you.

Changes in your behaviour, such as complaining that people are mumbling or frequently asking people to repeat what they’ve said.
Turning your volume up higher than other people for television or radio.
Having difficulty understanding conversations in a group.
Having trouble understanding when you cannot see the person’s face.
Straining to hear conversations.
Having trouble hearing on the telephone.
Some people can clearly hear lower pitched sounds such as ‘o’, ‘ah’, ‘k’, ‘u’ sounds but have trouble hearing sounds such as ‘s’, ‘f’, ‘th’, ‘z’.
Noticing big improvements after wearing hearing aid equipment.
