No one wants to admit that they didn’t hear part of the conversation. Take a look through some of our signs you may be in need of a visit to an audiologist near you.

  • Changes in your behaviour, such as complaining that people are mumbling or frequently asking people to repeat what they’ve said.
  • Turning your volume up higher than other people for television or radio.
  • Having difficulty understanding conversations in a group.
  • Having trouble understanding when you cannot see the person’s face.
  • Straining to hear conversations.
  • Having trouble hearing on the telephone.
  • Some people can clearly hear lower pitched sounds such as ‘o’, ‘ah’, ‘k’, ‘u’ sounds but have trouble hearing sounds such as ‘s’, ‘f’, ‘th’, ‘z’.
