Skippen's Landscape & Building Supplies was founded about 88 years ago, by Roy Skippen. In those early days delivery was originally made by horse and cart, later by earlier versions of motorised lorries. Sands were shovelled on and off the trucks, using a very large hand shovel, capable of about 20kg of material per shovel.

Our business has been operating independently since 1986, and prior to then we were contracted to a large indoor plant hire company to service clients throughout Sydney. We operate a nursery to store and grow our plants. We do not sell retail or wholesale from our nursery, which is used solely for our indoor plant hire business.
