Coast & Hinterland have done four jobs for us over the past ten years. Enclosing our big balcony with louvres has turned a virtually unused area into the most desirable space in our home. Facing due north, the winter sun streams into the room; whilst any cold winds can be controlled with the versatility of the louvres. Likewise in summer, the room remains shaded, but the cool breezes are able to be directed through the house; and with the louvres on the tilt, there is little likelihood of unexpected rain/storms causing any problem. This was not a straightforward job, because of unusual angles of the balcony, but the team approached the job with imagination and creativity and the end result has given us a great deal of pleasure in the almost five years since completion. Alex and his team have since replaced several sliding windows with custom-made banks of louvres, which give the rooms full ventilation in spaces which were previously half-blocked with solid glass. Right-hand man Marcus has just completed yet another job for us - replacing three very tired, 22 year old banks of louvres, with lovely new, custom made banks, keeping our 1975 home up to date with 2016. Coast & Hinterland have proved to us that they are a terrific team; proud of their workmanship; main priority is to please their customers - they've certainly done that repeatedly with us.
