Here are some of the top spots around Australia to hold 21up the bar and cheer on the boys.
Melbourne
The Botanical, AFL
The Botanical is so close to the Melbourne Cricket Ground you can just about hear the roar of the crowd, and it claims to be the best place to be if you can’t be at The G. Come Grand Final day, live coverage will be playing on the big screens from 10am, there will be prizes and giveaways, drinks specials, an all-day BBQ, and live entertainment following the match. Added bonus: It’s free entry, so get in early to secure a seat.
Sydney
The Manly Wharf Hotel is an iconic Sydney bar in its own right, and it plays host to the biggest events of the year in its gorgeous jetty location (not that you’ll be looking at the view come game day). They’ve got 10 televisions, two massive screens on the jetty, a BBQ to keep you well fed, and DJs to keep the party going when the final whistle has blown.
Adelaide
Coopers Alehouse @ The Earl, AFL
The recently renovated Coopers Alehouse @ The Earl is a contemporary and welcoming venue for anything from a casual Sunday schnitty to an epic game day outing. Book a spot for $65 per person and you’ll get finger food, tap beers, wine, and soft drinks from the moment the match begins until the final buzzer. The TVs are 2.5 metres wide and bookings are essential, so give them a call to secure your spot.
Brisbane
The Breakfast Creek Hotel, AFL & NFL
It’s one of the most famous pubs in all of Queensland, and this historic location is the perfect possie to watch history being made on the big screens. It’s going to be hosting events for the AFL and NFL finals, where you can book a table to watch the game live and loud on the biggest television of any beer garden in Brisbane.
Perth
The Wembley Hotel, AFL
If you’re in Perth, The Wembley Hotel is going to be the place to be come September 30. Your free general admission gets you access to the big screens and projectors as well as six indoor and outdoor bars. Or, make a day of it and grab The Box deal for $80 a head to get a three-hour drinks package, access to the VIP bar, a footy food meal voucher and, of course, a seat in front of the big screens. If you really want to go all out, the best seats in the house are $120 per head and include a three-hour drinks package, a buffet BBQ at half time, and prime position to watch the match.
